Wirelesslab (Lab course, WS 2015/16)
In this lab course, the students will carry out experiments using WLAN access points.
The experiments will start with introductions to tools of the trade (Linux wireless interface configuration, tcpdump, data plotting tools) to provide a guide how to do network debugging, collect measurements and present them. The experiments will range from an analysis of the inner workings of the IEEE 802.11 MAC to access point implementation and security tests. In the assignments, the students will set up experiments, analyze performance under varying protocol parameters and node/network conditions and compare different solutions.
