| Abstract | The fundamental design principles of the Internet architecture must be reconsidered. We argue that the architecture must (i) jointly consider reachability, resource control and economical and social control in a unified architecture, and (ii) be designed for change at run time. Both principles together will lead to a future Internet architecture that combines simplicity with the much-needed flexibility. |
